OUR BUSINESS

We are a family run business spanning three generations dedicated to providing high quality uniforms for the health and beauty sector.

OUR SUPPLY CHAINS

Dencowear’s supply chain networks fall into three main categories: finished goods production (clothing), raw materials and day-to-day business operations. Dencowear is working with its suppliers where appropriate to help them assess their labour standards and transparency in their own supply chains.

Finished goods production (Clothing)

The majority of Dencowear’s products are designed in the UK, and finished products are manufactured through a network of external suppliers. Approximately 80 percent of finished goods production takes place in the Far East, including a large proportion in China and Pakistan, where Dencowear has many long established relationships.

Raw Materials

Dencowear is keen to promote the sustainability of its raw material suppliers. Our key raw materials include polyester, cotton, polycotton, cardboard packaging, all sourced from suppliers globally.

Business Operations

Dencowear has many other supply chains related to its general business operations, including office facilities, professional services, marketing and transport.

OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

PROCESSES AND CONTROLS

We have in place systems to:

· identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains

· mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains

· monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains

· protect whistle blowers

SUPPLIER ADHERENCE TO OUR STANDARDS AND ETHICS

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain to comply with our standards and ethics. To this end we are amending our standard terms of purchase and will, where appropriate, require our contracts with suppliers to include:

· contractual assurances that no slavery is used anywhere in the supplier's business or by any of the suppliers in that supplier’s supply chain and that all necessary procedures have been put into place to ensure that this remains the case.

· a contractual entitlement to request compliance-related information and the right to audit suppliers at our discretion

· indemnity provisions and rights to terminate for breach of our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy.

TRAINING

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff.

OUR EFFECTIVENESS IN COMBATING SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

If we discover a breach of our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy we will respond in an appropriate manner to the nature and seriousness of the breach. Serious breaches may result in the termination of the business relationship. For less serious breaches, we will allow the supplier reasonable time to put in place measures to remedy the breach.

Although we are not required by law to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement, we have chosen to do so. We have followed the principles set out in section 54(5) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
