We’ve Been Supporting Causes for 10 Years

The Mental Health Foundation

New for 2020, and to celebrate 20 years of our Salonwear brand, we have pledged to give £1.50 per every ‘The One’ tunic sold to The Mental Health Foundation, the UK’s leading charity for everyone’s mental health.

Since 1949, the Mental Health Foundation has aimed to prevent mental health problems by finding and addressing the sources of mental health issues. They offer community and peer programmes, conduct research and publish findings on the causes of poor mental health and how to tackle them. They also advocate for better mental health through proposing solutions, campaigning for change, providing advice and through raising awareness through their initiative, Mental Health Awareness Week and their public-facing channels.

Dencowear feels passionately about supporting mental health causes and hope this new partnership with the Mental Health Foundation will help to prevent mental health problems arising and will help the foundation to support those suffering with mental health issues. We are all too aware that mental health has quickly grown into a large health issue, especially among the young. We realise that as a society we are still catching up to fill the need for mental health resources.

Breast Cancer Haven

From 2010 to 2017, we worked with the Breast Cancer Haven charity (formally The Haven Charity) who provide support, counselling, assessments, online classes, support groups and therapies for those experiencing emotional and physical side effect from breast cancer. A national charity, they also help with healthy eating and exercise and also support those who have the BRC1 and BRC2 genes.

During the partnership, we raised over £20,000 for Breast Cancer Haven through sales of our ‘Haven’ tunic. Every sale of this popular variation of the Black or White Ribbon Tunic with Hot Pink Trim during this time gave a proportion of profits to the charity.
